Date Ranges

The date picker in the top-right corner of the dashboard controls the time window for all data. Every KPI, chart, and panel updates when you change the range.

Presets

Clickport offers 13 preset ranges plus a custom picker, organized into four groups.

  • Realtime: a live 30-minute window that auto-refreshes every 30 seconds. Shows per-minute data and a live session stream. This is a special mode with its own UI.
  • Last 24H: rolling 24-hour window from right now. Switch the chart between hour and minute buckets via the Min / H pill.
  • Today: current calendar day. Hour buckets by default; switch to minute buckets via the Min / H pill. Comparison: vs average of your last 4 same weekdays at the current hour.
  • Yesterday: previous calendar day. Same Min / H pill as Today. Comparison: vs average of your last 4 same weekdays.
  • Last 7 Days: day buckets by default; switch to hourly via the H / D pill. Comparison: vs average of your last 4 seven-day periods.
  • Last 14 Days: same H / D pill as Last 7 Days. Comparison: vs average of your last 4 fourteen-day periods.
  • Last 28 Days: four weeks. Hour, day, or week buckets via the H / D / W pill, with day by default. Comparison: vs the smart weekday-aware baseline.
  • Last 91 Days: roughly a quarter. Day, week, or month buckets via the D / W / M pill. Comparison: vs the previous 91-day period.
  • Month to Date: from the 1st of the current calendar month through today. Day or week buckets via the D / W pill.
  • Last Month: the previous full calendar month. Day or week buckets via the D / W pill.
  • Year to Date: from January 1st through today. Day, week, or month buckets via the D / W / M pill.
  • Last 12 Months: rolling twelve-month window. Day, week, or month buckets via the D / W / M pill.
  • All Time: everything since your first tracked event. Pick daily, weekly, or monthly buckets via the D / W / M pill. No comparison available (there is no "previous" for all time).
  • Customize: opens a calendar picker where you select a start and end date, set the chart interval, and choose the comparison scope. Bucket size depends on the span: a single day uses hourly, up to two weeks offers Hour or Day, two weeks to two months offer Day or Week, and longer ranges add Month.

The four groups are divided in the dropdown: short live windows (Realtime, Last 24H, Today, Yesterday), rolling day ranges (Last 7 Days, Last 14 Days, Last 28 Days, Last 91 Days), calendar ranges (Month to Date, Last Month, Year to Date, Last 12 Months), and the full history plus custom picker (All Time, Customize).

Chart granularity

Every range with more than one sensible bucket size shows a small pill on its row in the date picker. The pill on the currently-selected row is always visible; hovering any other row reveals its pill, so a single click commits both the new range and your chosen bucket size in one go.

  • Min | H: Last 24H, Today, Yesterday. Minute or hour buckets.
  • H | D: Last 7 Days, Last 14 Days. Hour or day buckets.
  • H | D | W: Last 28 Days. Hour, day, or week buckets.
  • D | W: Month to Date, Last Month. Day or week buckets.
  • D | W | M: Last 91 Days, Year to Date, Last 12 Months, All Time. Day, week, or month buckets.
  • Customize: bucket pill depends on the span (see Presets above).

The active interval is shown as an accent-coloured letter on a faint segment inside a subtle segmented control, not a solid filled box. Custom ranges drawn in Customize get their own interval picker too, with H, D, W, or M offered based on the span you select.

Realtime always uses minute buckets across a fixed 30-minute window. You can also click any spot on the chart to drill down into that day with hourly granularity. The click snaps to the nearest bucket, so you don't need to land on a visible dot.

Comparison mode

Comparison is scope-selectable. Pick how the baseline is calculated and Clickport overlays it as a dashed line on the chart and adds a delta column to every panel row. The KPI percentage changes are always visible; the chart line and panel deltas come from your chosen scope.

There are four options:

  • No comparison: hides the dashed baseline and the panel deltas.
  • Smart baseline (the recommended default): a weekday-aware average of the last 4 matching periods, so a Wednesday is measured against recent Wednesdays rather than whatever calendar day happened to come before.
  • Previous period: the immediately preceding window of equal length.
  • Year over year: the same window one year earlier.

A "Match day of week" toggle keeps weekdays aligned when you choose Previous period or Year over year. The exact comparison dates are shown so you always know what the baseline resolves to.

Current period Comparison

The Smart baseline is weekday-aware:

  • Today: compared against the average of your last 4 same weekdays at the current hour. If it's Wednesday 2pm, you're compared against the last 4 Wednesdays at 2pm.
  • Yesterday / single date: compared against the average of your last 4 same weekdays (full day).
  • 7, 14, or 28 days: compared against the average of your last 4 same-length periods.
  • 91+ days and custom ranges: compared against the previous period of equal length.
  • Realtime and All Time: no comparison available.

Previous period and Year over year apply the same rule across every range: the equal-length window immediately before, or one year earlier. With "Match day of week" on, the window shifts to keep the weekdays lined up.

Timezone

All dates and times use your site's configured timezone (set in Settings). The chart, date labels, and comparison calculations all respect this timezone. You can change it anytime in Settings under your site configuration.

Smart labels

The date picker button shows a smart label that adapts to the selection:

  • Preset ranges show their name ("Last 14 Days")
  • Custom single days show the weekday and date ("Wed, 12 Feb")
  • Custom ranges that span a full calendar month show the month name ("February 2026")
  • Custom week-length ranges show the date span ("03.02 - 09.02")
  • Other custom ranges show the day count ("45 Days")
