Change email
Your email address is your sign-in identity, your recovery channel, and where we send trial, billing, and security notifications. You can change it any time from Security settings.
How to change it
- Go to Security settings and find the "Email address" card.
- Enter your new email address.
- Confirm with your current account password.
- Click Change email.
The new address must not be in use by another Clickport account. If it is, the form returns an error and nothing changes.
Verification
After the change, your account email is updated immediately, but it is marked as unverified until you confirm it. We send a verification link to the new address. Open the email, click the link, and your email becomes verified again.
Until you verify, a banner in the dashboard reminds you that the new address is pending verification. You can still use Clickport normally during this window. Adding new sites is gated on verified email.
Other sessions get signed out
To be safe, every login session except the one you used to make the change is signed out. So if you forgot to log out at a coworking space last week, that session is killed. You stay logged in on the device where you submitted the form.
This mirrors the password-change behavior. The pattern is: any change that touches identity or credentials kicks every other device.
Where new emails go after the change
Once the new address is verified, every email from Clickport goes to it: password resets, security notifications (2FA enabled or disabled, account-deletion requests), trial reminders, and billing receipts. The old address is no longer associated with the account and stops receiving anything.
OAuth-only accounts
If you signed up with Google or GitHub and never set a password, the email card asks you to set a password first. The change-email form requires a password to confirm, and OAuth-only accounts have none.
Set a password from the "Set a password" card on the same page (see Change password), then come back to change your email. Your OAuth connections stay linked.
If you do not get the verification email
- Check spam, junk, and promotions folders.
- Confirm the address is typed correctly. The card shows your current email; compare it to what you entered.
- Click Resend verification from the dashboard banner if it appears.
- If still nothing arrives, contact support@clickport.io.
