Show Clickport data inside your product
You build websites for many clients. With Clickport, each client sees their own visitors and AI traffic inside your app or client portal. You set it up once. After that, every new client site joins on its own, and your clients never need a Clickport login.
What your clients see
- How many people visited their site, and which pages they read.
- Which AI tools read their site, such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity.
- How many people came from an AI answer, and how many of them signed up or bought.
Example. "ChatGPT read your site 40 times this month. 6 people came from its answers, and 1 of them booked a call."
How it works
- One key for all your clients. Create a team key in Settings → API. It works for every client site in your team. Keep it on your server, never on a website.
- New client sites join on their own. When you publish a client site, your system tells Clickport. Clickport creates the site in the same moment. If you publish the same site again, nothing changes.
- Tracking starts. One line of code on the client site counts the visitors. A small add-on on the client's server also shows which AI tools read the site.
- Your app shows the numbers. Your system asks Clickport for each client's numbers and shows them in your app. Keep the answer for a few minutes, so your app stays fast.
- Clients outside your app. A client can also get a weekly email report, a link to a read-only dashboard, or a small visitor badge for their own site.
Good to know
- Busy clients do not slow down the others. Your system can ask for each client site's numbers 300 times per hour.
- Each plan includes a number of sites: 1, 3, 10, 50 or unlimited. The free trial includes 10. When your team is full, Clickport adds no new site and names the plan with more room. Change your plan in Settings → Subscription, and the new sites join right away.
- Let a person know when the team is full. Trying again does not help, so set your system to send your team a message.
- Your own overview. One extra view adds up the numbers of all your client sites.
For your developers
Each step has its own technical page, with code examples:
- Team API: create the team key and add client sites.
- Installation: the line of code for the client site.
- AI Agents: the add-on that shows AI reads, for Next.js, Cloudflare, Netlify, WordPress and more.
- Stats API and AI agent data: read each client's numbers, and the request limits.
- Email reports, share links and the embed widget: views for clients outside your app.
