Billing & Subscription
Everything about pricing, trials, payments, usage tracking, and managing your subscription. Billing lives in the Subscription tab of your account, accessible via the gear icon in the dashboard header.
Plans and pricing
Clickport offers five plans based on monthly pageviews. All plans include the full feature set with no restrictions. The only difference is the pageview limit.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|
| 10k pageviews | €9/mo | €90/yr (€7.50/mo) |
| 100k pageviews | €19/mo | €190/yr (€15.83/mo) |
| 1M pageviews | €69/mo | €690/yr (€57.50/mo) |
| 5M pageviews | €129/mo | €1,290/yr (€107.50/mo) |
| 10M pageviews | €169/mo | €1,690/yr (€140.83/mo) |
Yearly billing saves you 2 months compared to paying monthly. All prices are in EUR, excluding tax. For sites with more than 10 million monthly pageviews, contact us for a custom plan.
Running client sites? One account covers them
Billing is per account, not per site. Add as many sites as you want on any plan; your tier only caps the combined monthly pageviews across all of them. Agencies run their whole client roster on one subscription and one invoice.
The billing section shows a per-site breakdown of the current cycle, so you can see exactly which site contributes what to your usage. Clients can get their own access through teams or read-only share links without touching your billing.
How usage is counted
Usage is based on pageviews only. Each time a visitor loads a page on your site, it counts as one pageview. If you have multiple sites on the same account, pageviews from all sites are combined toward your monthly limit.
Custom events do not count toward your pageview limit. This includes outbound link clicks, file downloads, form submissions, scroll tracking, 404 errors, and any events sent via clickport.track(). You can use as many custom events as you need without affecting your plan usage.
Free trial
Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required. During the trial you have access to all features with no limitations.
The billing section shows a "Free Trial" badge with the number of days remaining. Below it, you can pick a plan and subscribe at any time.
- All features on every plan
- All your sites in one account
- Unlimited data retention
- EU-hosted, cookie-free analytics
- Cancel anytime, your data is retained
When the trial ends, your dashboard view is locked, but your account stays open: you can still reach your settings, manage your subscription, and export your data at any time. Tracking keeps running in the background, so no data is lost, and the locked screen shows your live visitor and pageview counts so you can see it is still collecting. Subscribe at any time to unlock the full dashboard again.
Subscribing
Click Subscribe in the billing section to open the checkout overlay. Select a plan tier and choose monthly or yearly billing, then complete the payment.
Payment methods
Clickport accepts:
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
- PayPal
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
Available payment methods may vary by country. The checkout automatically shows the options relevant to your location.
Currency
All prices are listed in EUR. For customers outside the eurozone, the checkout automatically converts the price to your local currency. For example, US customers see the amount in USD, UK customers in GBP. The conversion uses the current exchange rate at the time of purchase.
Your subscription renews at the converted amount, which may vary slightly between billing cycles as exchange rates change.
Tax
Plan prices on the website and in the plan picker are displayed excluding tax. Tax is calculated and shown at checkout based on your country and postal code.
Once you are subscribed, the amounts on your subscription page work the other way round: the next charge and every row in the Invoices card are the real amounts billed, so they include tax and are shown in your billing currency.
- EU customers: VAT is added at checkout based on your country's rate (e.g., 19% in Germany, 21% in the Netherlands).
- US customers: Sales tax may apply depending on your state. Many states charge no tax on digital services.
- Other regions: Local tax rules apply. Some countries have no applicable tax.
If you have a valid EU VAT number, you can enter it during checkout to remove VAT entirely through the reverse charge mechanism. This applies to all EU countries, including Germany. Your invoice will show VAT at 0% with a note that reverse charge applies.
Active subscription
Once subscribed, the billing section shows your plan, billing period, and the next charge with its amount and date, next to a summary of what every plan includes. The usage bar counts pageviews across your current billing cycle and shows the cycle's date range next to the count. Accounts with more than one site also get a Per site toggle under the bar that splits the usage by domain, so you can see which site contributes what. Below the billing section, the Invoices card lists your past payments.
- All features on every plan
- All your sites in one account
- Unlimited data retention
- EU-hosted, cookie-free analytics
- Cancel anytime, your data is retained
Usage bar colors
The progress bar changes color as you approach your limit:
- Blue: Under 80% of your pageview limit
- Amber: Between 80% and 95%
- Red: Over 95%
Exceeding your limit
If you exceed your monthly pageview limit, tracking continues. Your data is never lost. Clickport sends you an email notification when you reach 100% so you can decide whether to upgrade.
There is no hard cutoff. Your site keeps collecting data even if you go over the limit. If your traffic consistently exceeds your plan, consider upgrading to the next tier to keep things in order.
Changing plans
You can switch between monthly and yearly billing at any time from the billing section:
- Monthly to yearly: takes effect immediately. The unused part of your current month is credited and the difference for the year is charged today.
- Yearly to monthly: takes effect at your next renewal. Your paid year runs to its end, then monthly billing starts. Nothing is charged today.
To move to a different pageview tier, contact us and we switch your plan for you, pro-rated fairly.
Cancellation
In the billing section, use the underlined Cancel link in the plan summary ("Cancel anytime, your data is retained"). A confirmation dialog explains that your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
After your billing period ends:
- Your dashboard becomes inaccessible
- Tracking continues in the background. No data is lost.
- You can resubscribe at any time to unlock your dashboard and access all your data
Data is retained for 6 months after your subscription ends. After that, it may be permanently deleted. Resubscribe before then to keep your full history.
Invoices and payment details
Your past payments are listed in the Invoices card, directly below the billing section. Each row shows the date and the amount charged, and the arrow opens that invoice as a PDF.
Invoice amounts are shown in the currency you are billed in and include any tax that was applied.
Click Manage billing to open your billing portal, where you can also:
- Update your payment method (card, PayPal, etc.)
- View your full billing history
You also receive an invoice by email after each payment.
